Just a quick post today to show my my second Sew Over It Tulip Skirt. I am between sizes 10 and 12 on Sew Over It patterns so I normally cut between the sizing lines. I decided to go down to the 10 on this one because I ended up having to take my tartan tulip skirt in about one inch on either side of the back before I installed the zip. I’m glad I sized down because this one fit perfectly!
The only other change I made was to bring the front hem up about 2cm because I find that this skirt has extra length in the front. Luckily by black wool does not have a pattern so this little alteration doesn’t show at all. I didn’t line the skirt this time around either. It made the make much quicker and the wool has enough drape that it doesn’t get hung up on my tights. The fabric is a beautiful wool crepe from the remnant section of Gala Fabrics. I found it at the same time as the gorgeous silk I used for my Pussy Bow Blouse and always intended these gorgeous fabrics to be worn together.
Thanks for stopping by!
