Geometric Tape – Pictorial

I’m trying something new with this week’s tutorial… a pictorial! This design is a modification of a few different designs I have seen online. I wanted to use my latest polish purchase: Essie Mint Candy Apple. I decided to pair it with Orly White Out, Zoya Trixie and Essie Licorice for a clean, bright look.

The only tools you will need for this design are a detail brush and some striping tape. I would recommend pre-cutting your tape before starting. I used 7 short pieces of tape for each nails (7 x 10 = 70 pieces). Here is a step-by-step guide to achieving this design:

I love Mint Candy Apple. It’s more of a mint blue than a mint green but it fits nicely in the colour space between my Zoya Blu and Neely. Here are some more photos of this design.
